Pattern & Fabric
This month we made the Ascent Fleece Pullover from 5 Out Of 4 Patterns. According to 5 Out Of 4’s website:
“The perfect layering fleece or light pullover jacket for women. This quarter zip pullover has a relaxed fit that won’t inhibit an active lifestyle.” The Ascent’s options includes contrasting fabric, side pockets, as well as nursing access.
The fabric choices in this kit were 4 different fleece fabrics and one cotton based sweatshirt fabric. All fabrics are sure to make the coziest of pullovers!
Notions
Required notions
The required notions for this pattern are a 9″ zipper and Wash Away Wonder Tape.
Each and every box of IndieStitch includes coordinating thread & at least 2 sewing needles. This month’s needles were ballpoint needles in size 90/14, which are perfect for heavier-weight fabric, like fleece or sweatshirt knit.
Don’t forget about the pattern pieces! With an IndieStitch kit, printing or taping is not required for this 31-page pattern! Two large-format prints were included in this box ready to trace or cut out.
Bonus Notions
No IndieStitch kit would be complete without something to make your sewing room a bit brighter! Included in this month’s kit was a Nifty Notions Sewing Foot Storage Case, stickers to label your case, & a fun magnet!
Sew Along
And of course, we can’t forget the sew along! Every box of IndieStitch includes an invite to our video sew-along so that subscribers 1) have some motivation/accountability to do the project, 2) get to share their finished projects, & 3) can ask questions and support each other during the project.
Sew-along videos are hosted in our Membership Hub and the IndieStitch Facebook Group is always buzzing about the latest IndieStitch makes, sewing questions, and great community.
